Residential Wireman Course

Hope you are doing well. I wanted to let you know that I took the RAIL test yesterday—PASS (95%)! Your course, insight, and encouragement were very helpful. Need to brush up a little bit more on motor calcs but otherwise good. Thanks again. I would still love to visit with you some day - would appreciate your advice. If this was your workshop, is there one thing you would do to make it better? I think the group was beneficial for a more intimate learning environment, less prone to distraction, attention was demanded in an appropriate sense.

I didn't have any knowledge going into the course, but I left feeling much more confident in my abilities. I picked up that I need to study for 15 uninterrupted minutes a day, ALWAYS REMEMBER 250, and don't let the book intimidate you. What really helped me stay engaged and wanting to learn was one… the jokes and two the one on one feeling where if I had any questions you could answer them. I think the one thing that slowed me down would be the length of the class. It felt like I was a little overflowed with knowledge towards the end.

I really enjoyed and appreciate you taking time to help us out. You did help give me a lot more confidence. Read all the verbiage before answering, helping understand the tables, acronyms, 250, 210.8, Square inch in gang boxes, you explain things to make them seem simple. All I can say is ohm's law. You have it almost down to an art.. keep on keeping on.. Thanks for all the information...

I really enjoyed the workshop and feel like I learned a lot of great things to help prepare me for the test. The class helped me feel more confident and reassured me that I was on the right track with reading and understanding the book. Three key things I picked up were that everything works off the minimums, Ohm's Law and the electrical formulas since I had never used them before, and the importance of definitions. Article 100 is essential for understanding the questions. I really appreciated the use of pictures and the board. Being able to actually see what you were talking about made a big difference in how I understood the material. I would have gladly cleared my schedule for a second day. A follow-up session could build on what we learned and give us time to go deeper now that the class is familiar with the NEC. If this were my workshop, the only thing I'd change is adding more time. I'd include as much hands-on and as many visuals as possible, while still keeping the focus on the book so examples don't become a distraction. Thanks again.
